FiO Baby has been featured in Peace! Magazine!
The FiO Baby performance that took place at Mulchay’s on April 7th was Epic! Everyone has been talking about it on Long Island and in the underground community. I talked to FiO moments before he took to the stage that night and asked him if he was ready for such a big performance. FiO said “I was born ready for this bro, [you know] Im a humble dude but right before a show like this you gotta psych yourself up and tell yourself that your the illest [rapper] to ever do it”.
For an opening act my colleagues and I were shocked at how many were in attendance being that Webby did not take the stage for a few hours after him. I’d estimate 150+ for FiO alone. After the performance many fans trapped him into a corner where he was bombarded by screaming fans just trying to get a hold of his hand to congratulate him.
I must say, considering FiO Baby is only one mixtape deep and is getting this much attention is extremely impressive. I know that competing artists such as Mac Miller, Sam Adams, and Chris Webby all had some type of mixtape out before they hit Datpiff but it seems as if FiO Baby hasn’t.
I also asked FiO before he took stage how he felt about Mac, Webby, and Adams being that they were all featured on “White Out Volume 1″ together. FiO replied, “They’ll always be competition between all of us because we share the same demographic but to be honest I don’t think Christian (Chris Webby), Mac, or Sam even know who I am. If they do then yea thats awesome, if not they soon will. But overall Im a fan of all of them, I think they’re all extremely talented”.
